As of April 2023, CEL has joined with Charter Transport to form The Charter Group. Recognising the advantages of scale, and formalising a working partnership of close to 20 years, the two companies now operate under a single strategic governance structure.
Charter Transport Limited has a company history extending back to the early 1980’s. Over 30 years Charter Transport had built a substantial Christchurch-based multi-transport business and accrued unprecedented transport and logistics knowledge and expertise.
The new Charter Group reflects the two companies shared philosophy of innovation and performance, allowing for fleet synergies and unlocking opportunities for future growth.
Temuka Transport
Temuka Transport, proudly owned and operated by the Aitken family since 1967, have grown into the trucking, transport and rail support services company operating 90 trucks and six large container handlers throughout the deep south.
